Year-End Sales Event is almost over!

Hi, Guys!!

Happy Tuesday!  How has your day been going?  Everyone went back to work and school today and I had some quiet time.  It was nice but I do miss everyone after a few hours.  I was able to accomplish a lot today.  We had some snow over the last week.  Not a lot maybe 3 inches or so.  It’s been so cold outside that no one wanted to go out and clean it up.  After the kids got on the bus I got the snowblower and cleaned up.  It was above freezing, it actually felt warm and that is sad because I think it was 9 degrees outside when I was snow blowing.  LOL

I ran some errands and then bought myself a new office chair.  My father in law gave me some $ for Christmas and I have been wanting a new chair for some time.  The one I had would slowly go down to the floor.  It was so annoying.

I also sent out all my Occasion and Saleabration Catalogs to all my customers and hopefully some new customers too.  If you would like a catalog at no charge just fill out my contact form here.  I would be more than happy to send you one out.  I included a handmade card to each one ( I always include a card….I love making cards!!!)  I also made a cute card with an envelope.

OH MY GOSH, I love the Hedgehugs set so much!!  You can purchase that one tomorrow!!!  I am so excited for Saleabration to start for you guys.  I will talk more about that tomorrow.

I want to let you guys know that there are only a few more hours left in the Year End Sales Event!!

Did you get your favorites out of the Holiday Catalog?  Is your favorite retiring?  You guys better Shop now to get them before they are gone.

Happy New Year Eve!!

Hi Guys!!

Happy Sunday and Happy New Years Eve!  I hope everyone has had a wonderful day.  Are you going out tonight or staying in?  Whatever you guys decide, be safe in whatever you do.  Enjoy!!

Is anyone thinking about being organized this new year?  I always am looking at being organized all year round.  I received a planner last Christmas and was very skeptical about it.  I started using it and  I love it so much and do not know how I lived without one for so long.  It really made a difference.  Even if you think “I’m not busy enough for one or it is a waste of my time writing everything down.”  You will use it no matter how busy or not busy you are.  I would take about 10 minutes first thing in the morning writing out my day.  I really found it soothing and put me in a relaxed mood first thing in the morning (until my kids woke up LOL)

So now your probably thinking about what kind of planner you should get.  Well, Stampin’ Up! has a terrific planner to get.  Its called the Love Today Planner Kit.    This planner will help keep you on schedule and give you a creative outlet too! This all-inclusive kit with has everything you need to create a customizable yearly planner.

Making Tags with your Christmas Cards

Hi Guys!!!

Happy Saturday!!!

I hope you guys have enjoyed your day today!!  It’s been such a long time since my last post and I am sorry about that.  It’s been so crazy around our house over the last few months.  I’m sure a lot of you guys can relate to that!!

I can not believe that we are coming to the end of 2017.  Are you guys glad for 2017 to be over?  Did you have a good year?  Our year started off terrible with losing our Nana.  She was and is still missed so much.  My kids had a hard time this year without her.  She was a big part of their life and it’s so hard not to have her there for them.  I found myself often picking up the phone to call her and tell her something and then remembering that she was not there.  Last Christmas she gave me money so I could buy a Big Shot for my business.  She was very excited for me that I was doing something with all my talents (as she would say) and she told me she could not wait to see me take off.  I miss her so…. I am so grateful I had a very good relationship with my Mother in law.

The middle of the year was pretty good.  Lots of family outings and lots of stuff to keep us busy.  We went on some pretty awesome camping trips this year.  We had a pretty scary end of our year.  On Thanksgiving, my husband was shot while deer hunting.  He was shot in the head.  I know….. He is ok and the bullet missed everything vital.  It grazed his side of his head and the top of his ear.  He is so lucky…. I know his mother was by his side that day and that is why he is still with us.  So I am glad to see 2017 go.

So what do you guys do with your Christmas Cards after you take them down?  I make tags with mine for next year.  Its so easy to do.  Just gather your punches and use them on the front of the Christmas Cards and you will be set for tags for next year.  I have a bag of Christmas stuff and I put them in the bag and then I know right where they are for next year.  I made a quick video showing you how I make my tags.

I put together my customer thank yous and they are going out in the mail sometime next week.  I am so appreciative of my customers I had in 2017.  I love what I do and love that I get to share it with everyone.  I have built some great relationships since joining Stampin Up and I am so grateful for that.  I got a Christmas Card in the mail this year from one of my customers…. I was so excited to receive it.  I am so happy that she took the time out of her day to think about me.  I love it soooo much and it is so pretty.   Thank you 🙂

Here is a picture of the cards that I made using the Southern Serenade stamp set that will be available to purchase on January 3, 2018.

I love how pretty this one turned out.  I also made each of my customers a calendar for the new year.  It has magnets on the back so it can go on your fridge. Here is a picture of the adorable calendars I made.

Thank you all who have supported me this past year!!!

Happy Saturday!!!

Six Minute Saturday

Hi Guys!!!!

Happy Saturday!  I hope you guys are enjoying your Saturday!!  It has been a while since my last post and I apoligize for that.  I can not believe how busy I have been lately.  My son is done with Soccer this Sunday so that will give me a little more time for about two weeks and then he starts wrestling.  My oldest son is in all kinds of afterschool clubs and music stuff so he too is busy and keeping me and my husband busy.  Somedays I go one way and the husband goes the other and we each have a kid.  I am sure most of you guys with kids are the say way.  It’s so crazy because I never did anything after school when I was the age my boys are now.  I joined a few clubs but the late bus always took me home and that’s where I would stay for the rest of the night.

I went on my annual girls trip to Maine.  Me and my friend go on a bus trip every year to the Kittery Outlets for some shopping.  We stay overnight at the Anchorage Inn in York Maine.  It is so pretty and the Ocean is right across the street.  Here is a link to the hotel if you want to see it.

It takes about 6 hours on the bus trip to get their and back and that is with about an hour break.  We usually catch up on our sleep and do lots of talking and laughing.  This trip is sure good for us… it helps to get away and just have girl time every once and awhile.

I also did about 50 goodie bags for the kids this past week.  I love doing these and the kids just love them too.  I love that my 8th grader still asks for them because all his friends ask if his mom is making them.  I just love this.  I remember thinking as I was in the higher grades how it stinks we never had parties or anything during the holidays.  Here is a picture of the mass amount of goodies.

These were pretty easy to make.  I figured out one and then just mass produced.  It works out eaiser if you cut and stamp and get all your materials made as much as you can and then just assemble.  I used the new Stampin’ Blends that are going to be available for purchase on November 1.  They are an alcohol-based ink markers and they are super fun to use.  They are so smooth and blending them are really easy.  You guys will love using them so much.  I love all the tools Stampin’ Up! provides for us for our coloring.  I have never been able to color and make anything look as beautiful as I have since joining Stampin’ Up!

There is still a little over 3 days left for the Designer Series Paper Sale buy 3 get one free.  Here is a link to shop for your paper. Hurry and get what you want today before its gone and off of sale.

I also was able to finally get a video made today.  It’s been two weeks since my last video post.  I cant believe it has been that long.  I tried to do a 5-Minute Friday but didnt make it so I called this one 6-Minute Saturday.  It’s a pretty fun technique that I learned a long time ago by my Demonstrator at the time.  Here is a picture of the card I made.  It is a good masculine card to have on hand.  I never have enough of those.

Here is the video to check it out

Happy Saturday!!!

Octobers Card Club

Hi, Guys!!

I have changed this months Card Club up.  I am making 2 of the cards public and the 3rd card or 3d project will only be available to anyone who qualifies for my Card Club.  You will get a private video with another project and all the materials to make that third item.  I wanted to give a little incentive to all my faithful Card Club customers.  Everything else will still remain the same.  Here are the 2 public cards.

I know it’s a little early for Christmas cards but I figured if we can get an early start to make them this year then that is one item you can check off your list closer to Christmas.  I always start off with trying to get ahead at Christmas time but I seem to always fall behind so here is a start.  I love how these turned out and I am using the Ready for Christmas stamp set and the Christmas Staircase Thinlits Dies.  Have you guys seen this set from the new Holiday catalog yet?  If not you have to check it out and put it in your shopping cart right away.  I plan on doing some scrapbook pages with this set too along with a whole bunch of other things.  It really is a very versatile set.

If you are new to my card club here is what you need to do to qualify:

Graveyard Gate

Hi Guys,

Happy Tuesday!  I hope everyone’s day is going great.  I finally had a few minutes to put together a post.  I don’t know what is going on that I have become so incredibly busy lately!!!  It seems I can not find time for much crafting but I am hoping that pattern changes.

I have made my kids another chore chart but this time we are sticking to them.  I have tried chores in the past but they seem to always stop doing them after a few weeks.  I finally made a list and laminated it.  Now they can check off the items and I then go over it and wipe it clean when they are all done.  We started chores about a week ago and what a difference it has made on my workload daily.  They will get a certain amount if they do all the chores and if they skip out on something the $ goes down.  So far so good, fingers crossed.

5-Minute Friday

Hi, Guys!!!

Happy Friday!  I am so excited that it’s Friday and the weekend is here.  I hope everyone had an awesome day today.  It was so hot again today here where I live.  This weather we are having is so crazy for this time of year.  I am going to a huge Craft festival tomorrow and it is usually cool and nice to walk around.  The temperature is supposed to be 85.  Yikes… it will be fun though!  I get so many ideas when I go to craft fairs and I always tell myself I can make that.  I end up never making those things and forget half of the craft items by the time I get home.  LOL

I made my 5-minute Friday project today and it was a decorative candle from the dollar store.  I have done a video before on how to make decorative candles but the ones I bought at the dollar store are LED ones, so you can actually use them.  They are a bit tricky to get the image on because the candles have a thin layer of wax on them so you have to get it right the first time or the image won’t stick or look good.  I plan on making a bunch of these for gifts and I want to make candles for all the holidays now.

Here is the video on how to make the candle:

Retiform Technique

Hi, Guys!!!

Happy Wednesday!!  I hope everyone is enjoying their day!  It has been so warm here in upstate NY the past week and it just seems to continue.  We had a pretty lousy summer weather wise and now it seems mother nature is making up for it now.  Our pool is closed along with 90% of the area so we can not enjoy the heat with our pool.  I am ready for the crisp coolness of fall.  I love summer when it is summer and I always say I want to move somewhere where it is warm all the time but the truth is I would be lost without all the seasons ( well maybe I could give up winter!)

Speaking of fall did you see the latest card I made using the Retiform Technique?

This technique has been around for years and lately, a lot of people have been using this technique so I thought I would try it with the Painted Harvest stamp set.  I love how this card turned out.  I have made a video on how to do this technique.  Its pretty easy to do too.

Here is a list of supplies I used.  You will also need Sticky notes.
