Product of the week

Hi, Guys,

Happy Wednesday!!  How are you doing today?  How is your day going?

Today I worked in my craft room most of the day.  I had a dentist appointment after the kids were off to school.  My jaw is still sore so I just hung out in my craft room.  I missed crafting and running my business over the summer.  I have a new fire inside to do well with my Stampin’ Up! business.  Starting October 1, 2018, I have the chance to earn a trip to Hawaii for free for me and my husband.  I can pay extra if I earn the trip to take along the rest of my family.  Hawaii is on my bucket list and it would be so awesome to make it happen just by sharing what I love.   I have a year to try to earn the trip.  Every year Stampin’ Up! offers a free trip and you have a year to earn it.  So I will be working like crazy to try to make this happen for my family.

I am featuring a new social media campaign.  I will be featuring a product of the week and will be highlighting that product all week long.  It may be a stamp set, a set of dies, ink colors, paper, you will have to tune in each week to find out what the product of the week is.  I will make projects and cards and do my best to showcase this item or items.  I will be blogging at least once every week and my facebook business page will be very active along with my YouTube.  I love making those videos.  I also will feature a Facebook Live every Tuesday morning at 10 am eastern time.

So this week the featured product of the week is Pleasant Pheasant Stamp Set.  This set is a great fall set.  It is a great set for any masculine cards you may need to make.  Here is the set.

I made a couple of cards using this one so far.  In fact, my first Facebook live this Tuesday I made a card with this set.

I love that Chicken Wire Elements paper and apparently, everyone else loved it too because now it’s no longer available to order but you could still make this card without the Chicken Wire paper.  If you want to know how to make this card I will leave the link to my Facebook Live here in this post.

Stampin’ Up! is running a promotion this month for anyone who host a party of $250 or more.  You can be your own host and purchase $250 worth of Stampin’ Up! products or you could host a party.  You will get a free pack of the Dashing Along DSP 12 by 12 paper that is pictured above.

I am running a special for the whole month of September for anyone who makes a $50 purchase at my online shop and they use the Host Code MCCB9KN7 I will give you a free sample of the Dashing Along DSP.

So I will see you guys next week at my Facebook Live, right?  If you have not liked me on Facebook please do so and share my page.

Here are all the products used to make that card above.

Super cute Halloween Card

Hi Guys,

Happy Thursday!!  Can you believe it is September already?  Where did the summer go?  My kids went back to school today and fall weather is supposed to be here in a few days.  We had a great Summer.  What did you guys do this summer?  We spent the last few weeks of summer in the pool, going to garage sales, and we spent a day at the NY state fair.

I am sad to see summer go but I am also looking forward to getting back to a routine.

So I am working on my Swaps for this month and I need to share with you guys the card I created.

Super cute right?  Oh my, I love this one so much and I created that super cool background.  I will take you step by step on how I created this one.

You will start off with Basic Black as your A2 card base (5 1/2 by 8 1/2 fold at 4 1/4).  Next you will layer Pumpkin Pie cardstock which was cut 5 1/4 by 4.  Then I  cut a piece of Smoky Slate card stock at 5 by 3 3/4.  Now here is the fun part.  I took a piece of the Chicken Wire Elements Foil sheets and placed on top of the Smoky Slate and used a piece of washi tape on the top and bottom to hold it in place. I made sure the washi tape was not covering the whisper white cardstock.  Then I took a sponge brayer and rolled Gorgeous Grape ink all over it. When I was done I carefully removed the washi tape and I had this beautiful background.  It’s perfect for this Halloween Card.

So before I glued it to the top of the card I cut a piece of Black Satin Ribbon and secured the ends down about 1/3 rd of the way from the bottom.

Then I took Pumpkin Pie cardstock and cut the 2nd smallest stitched shape oval.  I used the stamp set Spooky Sweets and took the stamp that looks like fog or a mist and stamped it with Smoky Slate ink.  I first stamped it off on scrap paper and then stamped it on the stitched shaped oval.  So it leaves a really light mark over your oval.  I then took my embossing buddy and wiped it across the oval.  I used the Happy Halloween stamp with Versa Mark ink and stamped it in the center of the oval.  I used Black Stamping Emboss Powder and then heat set it with my heat tool.

The final touch I did to the front of this card was I used the Spooky Bats punch and cut out the bats on the Black Foil Sheet.  Then I  used Stampin up Dimensionals and the Mini Dimensionals to pop up the bats and the Stitched Shape oval.  The last thing I added was a Gorgeous Grape glitter enamel dot to the oval.

So I couldn’t stop there… I needed to add a piece of white cardstock cut at 5 1/4 by 4 to the inside because the card base was Basic Black.  So I had this idea to create a moon and I wanted to use the bat stamp over the moon.  I took a piece of scrap cardstock and cut the 4th smallest layering circle framelits out of it.  As you can see in the picture I made sure to cut it with enough card stock on all sides because I was going to use a sponging technique.

I used Mango Melody and used a sponge dauber to put the ink inside the circle.  I lined the circle at the top left side and used circular motions to make the moon shape.

I then used the stamp that looks like fog or mist and used Smoky Slate to stamp it right over the moon.  I did not stamp it off like I did on the oval stitched shape.  I finished it with the bat stamp.  I used Tuxedo Black Memento ink to stamp the bats right over the moon.

What a super easy Halloween Card and it really has that wow effect inside and out.

Here is a complete list of all the materials I used to make this card:

Birthday Giveaway!!

Hi, Guys,

Happy Wednesday!!  What have you been up to today?  Summer is winding down and I know a bunch of kids have already started school.  My kids do not start until September 6th so they have about 3 weeks left of vacation.  We still have some fun stuff planned.  We just came home from our long camping trip, our last one of the year.

This trip was very relaxing and lots of fun.  We had stuff to do everyday or evening but we also had downtime.  I was able to get a lot of reading done and my youngest was on the playground a lot.  There is a playground next door where I could see him the whole time from my chair.  It was nice because he could go to the playground whenever he wanted.

I don’t know if you guys have seen the special I am running for the month of August?  It’s my Birthday this month and if you have been following me you know that I celebrate the whole month.  So with a purchase of an inkpad this month and if you use my current host code, SHVC3Y6N you will get a set of 10 of my homemade cards or you can choose a kit to make the cards your self.  You can choose from birthday, thank you’s or a variety pack.  Did you know the average Hallmark card is $4.00? So you will get a $40 value for free with a purchase of an ink pad.  There are a few ink pads that do not count towards this offer and they are:

  • StazOn Ink Pad

  • Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad

  • Uninked Stampin’ Craft Pad

  • VersaMark Pad

Also, Stampin’ Up! is offering a $5 coupon with every $50 order this month.  You can then use the coupons in September.  There is no limit to the number of coupons you can earn.  So here is an example of what kind of cards you will receive when you purchase an ink pad.

I just love making cards….. and how cute are those.  You may not get this exact set but you will get a set of coordinating cards.  If you choose a card kit I will supply you with all the embellishments, ribbons, and cardstock you need.  I will not be able to supply any of the stamped images due to Stampin’ Up! policy.  This is such a great deal and it will run through August 31, 2018.

I also am running a special right now through Sunday, August 19 when you spend $50 at my shop I will give you a free set of Stampin Blends.  You choose the color you want and you will get the light and dark marker for free from me.  Just make sure you provide me with your contact information when checking out of my store and I will contact you to find out which color you want.

I hope you guys are having a great summer so far and I hope you guys check in with me to see what other specials I will be offering this month for my birthday celebration.  I also made a YouTube video explaining my special and I will leave the link here for you guys.

Happy Wednesday!!

Buy 3 Get 1 Free DSP is almost over

Hi Guys,

Happy Wednesday!!!  How is everyone doing?  I know it’s been forever since my last post!  I kinda abandoned blogging.  I think I was doing too much of everything and blogging seemed to get pushed to the side.  So I am back but I am only going to commit to blogging once a week.  If I have more time I will blog more.

I have been enjoying our summer.  It has been very humid here and we have spent most of July in our Pool.  How are you guys enjoying your summer?  I would love to know what you guys have been doing?  We have gone camping a couple of times and both my boys have been to summer camp.  My youngest went to cub scout camp this year with his dad.  This was the last time he will attend cub scout camp next year he will be a Boyscout.  My older son is at Boyscout camp right now with his dad and they will be back home this Saturday.

The top picture is of my youngest son and his cub pack that attended camp and the 2nd picture is my oldest and his Boyscout Troop 111.  They enjoy camp so much each summer.  I am glad they have had the opportunity to attend each summer.  Scouts have played such a big role in each of my boy’s life.

Here are a few pictures of our camping trips so far this year.  We have a projector and bring it with us and watch movies outside at dark around the fire.  We have one more camping trip coming up and that one is our favorite spot.  We love to camp on Wellesley Island.  We stay here the longest and in a couple of weeks, we will be leaving for this trip.

So I have been in my craft room a few times here and there.  I have made a few birthday cards and I made an adorable Birthday card for a friend.

I know you love them right? lol.  I used Tropical Chic Clear-Mount Stamp Set on the first card, Wonderful Moments Photopolymer Stamp Set for the next two and Animal Outing Clear-Mount Stamp Set on the last card.  The last card I used a retired embossing folder that I love so much and use all the time.  But the stamps sets are all available in the brand new catalog.  I have links to the catalog on my website for you to view and if you would like a new catalog for free just fill out my contact form here and provide all your mailing information and I will get a catalog right out to you as long as you reside in the US.

So before I go I need to tell you guys that there is less than a week left to get the buy 3 get 1 free designer series paper deal.  It expires after July 31, 2018 and its a super great deal.  There are 10 different DSP that you can choose from.  Shop here at my store for your paper.  If you have never bought Stampin Up designer paper then now is the perfect time to give it a try.  You will not be disappointed!!

Thanks, guys and I hope to hear from you guys as to what you have been doing this summer!!

Happy Wednesday!!!

Hi Guys!

Happy Friday!!  How was your day?  My kids had the day off because it’s good Friday.  We spent the day hanging out and they played video games and I finished my Easter Shopping up.  It was a rainy, gloomy day today.    I am trying to get caught up with thank you cards for all my customers.  I love that I need to make thank you cards.  🙂

I had a little time today in my craft room and I was able to make these cute little baskets.

They are so cute and the Hersey’s chocolate eggs fit perfectly inside.  You can fit 3 in with the Easter grass.  These are so easy to make and I did not come up with these.  There are a bunch of people making these but I had to share with you guys because they are too cute.  I used the Basket Weave and Cable Knit folders to make these and you can get both of these folders free until March 31, 2018.  So you have until tomorrow to take advantage of Saleabration.  If you want to purchase these items click here to purchase them.

Did you know if you sign up to become a Demonstrator during Saleabration you get two free stamp sets out of the current catalog at any value?  You can not choose any Saleabration ones but any others you can.  I always tell anyone who is joining to pick the most expensive sets that you want.  It’s a great time to join.  Anytime is a great time really but especially now.  If you want more information on joining my team please click here.  If you would like to join right now click here.  My team and I have a really fun time and we have our own team page where we bounce ideas off each other, and share tips and techniques.

Here is the video on how to make those cute little baskets.

Happy Friday!!

3 days left to get your free Saleabration items.

Hi Guys,!!

Happy Wednesday!  How has your day been going today?  What did you do today?  After the husband and kids left for the day I did a few chores in the morning and then headed up to my craft room to film my latest video.  This latest card I made I just love.  I know I say that with all my cards but I truly love them all.  Here is a picture of the card I made.

I know so pretty right?  The products Stampin Up has are amazing!!  I could not create such a beautiful card without these products.  I used two free Saleabration items, Amazing You and the Springtime Foil Designer Series Paper.  I love that paper so much.  It is so beautiful.

I watched a video by Jennifer McGuire yesterday and she posted how to make this fun fold card.  I used her fun fold and created my own card using Stampin Up products.  I made a video on how I created this card.  Here is the video:

This is one of my longer videos.  I try to keep them short but sometimes they are longer so I can give you all the details.  I do love my 5-minute Friday video’s but sometimes you need more info then what 5 minutes give you.

So if you guys love the Amazing You stamp set or the Spring Foil paper you only have 3 days to get these items.  You need to spend $50 and you can earn one of these items, if you spend $100 then you can get both for free.   If you want either of these items you need to hurry.  Please shop hereand you also will get a gift from me in the mail as a thank you if you use my March Host code CG9BVDPB.  If your order is $150 or more do not use my host code you will get your own rewards but don’t worry you still will get a special gift from me.

I am very thankful for all you guys!!  You have helped me from the very begging of my Stampin Up journey.  I started from scratch and it’s amazing to see all the people who subscribe, like, share and support me.  I first started 18 months ago.  I started a YouTube, Blog, and Facebook Page from scratch.  I now have 2778 subscribers on YouTube, and 131 follows on Facebook.  This is just crazy to me and I thank you guys so much!!  The best part has been the friendships I have gained since Stampin Up.  Some of you guys have reached out to me and we have now become friends.  I have gained a lot of friends with other Stampin Up Demos and I look forward to many more friendships.  So thank you guys so much for all the support.

Anyone who places an order for the remainder of March and uses the March Host code will get a set of my handmade cards.  That’s with any and all orders for the next three days.  So get your free Saleabration items, and a free set of cards from me too.  Thank you guys for everything

Happy Wednesday!!

Stamparatus

Hi Guys!!

Happy Monday!  How are you guys today?  I hope all is well with you today!  I know it’s Monday and most people do not care for Mondays but as a stay at home mom I tend to really like them.  lol  It’s a nice sunny day today and that sunshine makes a world of difference.  It started off cold but the temperature is 45 degrees currently and our snow is melting very nicely.  I will not be sad to see it go.  I am looking forward to getting outside and walking and playing in the yard with the kids.

I take part in monthly swaps with other Stampin Up Demonstrators each month.  I love that I can build my cards up with other talented stampers.  I was also lucky enough to get in on the first pre-order for the Stamparatus last year.  My Stamperatus came to me on March 1 and I have been using it like crazy.  I love all the versatility we get with it.  It has open sides so there is no restriction on paper size.  There are 2 plates that you can utilize the front and back for 4 different stamping images.  The seller for me is the Hinge method.  You can move the plate down on the hinge and stamp images that will line up perfectly.

Here is a video Stampin Up has released on the Stamparatus

So I used the stamparatus to make my swaps.  It comes in handy when you have to make many cards at a time.  Here are the swaps I made:

The theme this month was Bling.  So I used wink of Stella on the flamingo.  I also used Foil Frenzy Specialty Designer Series Paper and Silver 1/8″ Ribbon.  I embossed the Thanks with silver embossing powder.  Lots of bling on this card.  I can not wait to see all my swaps I will get back in the mail in April.

So Saleabration is almost over.  I know I am sad too.  Have you made all your purchases in the occasions catalog yet?  There are only 5 days left guys!!  Get shopping before it’s too late.  My 5-minute Friday last week I used a couple of Saleabration items.  I did the Black Ice technique on the card.

Have you heard of this technique?  It’s an older technique but lately, everyone is making cards using this technique.  I thought I would share this with you guys too.  I used the Amazing You Clear-Mount Stamp Set to stamp this out.  You take your basic black ink and rub it very lightly over your foil paper.  Then you will stamp your images with basic black on your foil paper.  Be careful not to press down too hard or your image may slide and cause it to be blurry.  You want to make sure it is completely dry for this next step.  You can use the heat tool to dry it completely.  Then you take your versamark ink and do the same thing.  Rub it very gently over the top of the foil.  Then use clear embossing powder over the top and heat it.  It really is a wow effect!!  I also used the Basic Gray ribbon from the 3/8″ (1 Cm) Shimmer Ribbon Pack that is free also during Saleabration.  If you want either of these items you need to hurry.  Please shop here and you also will get a gift from me in the mail as a thank you if you use my March Host code CG9BVDPB.  If your order is $150 or more do not use my host code you will get your own rewards but dont worry you still will get a special gift from me. Here is the video of the card I made above:

Happy Monday!!

Will you get what you want before they are gone?

Hi Guys,

Happy Sunday!!  I hope everyone has had a great weekend.  What did you guys do?  We celebrated Easter yesterday with my family.  We always head up to my parent’s house about an hour away and celebrate with my brother and his family.  There was a lot of snow at their house so we could not do an Easter egg hunt outside so the kids had to find them inside.  I made a basket for my niece and nephew.  They are 2 and 5.  I used my Cricut and the easy-press and made them these cute shirts and put their names on these bunnies I bought at the dollar store.

I love how easy it was to cut and then use the easy press to put these on.  They loved the stuffed animals and my sister-in-law loved the shirts.

I also have been busy as my team of stampers is growing.  I love having other stampers and crafters on my team.  We have fun and share our ideas with each other and learn new techniques from each other.  This is exactly why I joined Stampin Up, so I could meet and connect with others who shared the same passion I share.  We have a team facebook page where we post ideas, our projects, and the latest Stampin Up news.  I give anyone who joins my team a welcome gift and I also let them pick a stamp set from the current catalogs valued at $25 or less.  It’s just my way of thanking them for joining my team.  If you would like more information on my team please click here.   If you would like to join right now please click here

I also have been busy working on customer thank you’s.  I am so excited because I have regular customers now.  I love interacting with all my customers and I love getting their Thank you cards made and the little gifts I give them.  You never know when you order from me what you will get in the mail from me and you can always count on a homemade thank you card with every order.  Here is the thank you cards I made for March orders.

I used the Southern Serenade stamp set out of the Occasions catalog.  It is one of my favorites.   I used Basic Gray as the card base.  I then cut out Soft Sky cardstock and layered it on top of the basic gray.  I then cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock and stamped 3/4 of it with the lace/flower stamp in basic gray.  I then layered the free Bermuda Bay and Basic Gray Shimmer Ribbon across the front of the whisper white.  I then stamped Thank you and the single flower in basic gray and colored it with the Stampin Blends basic gray and pool party.  I used the light and dark in each marker.  I used the largest layering oval framelit and cut it out in whisper white.  Then I used the largest scalloped layering oval framelit and cut out soft sky.  I used wink of Stella around the edges of the scallop oval.  I then stamped the bunch of flowers on the whisper white oval with basic gray.  I used the Stampin blends to color in the flowers and then used Stampin dimensional to pop it up on the front.  I put some Rhinestone Basic Jewels in the corner for some extra bling.

So I hope you guys get your shopping in and get the products you want!!  Time is running out.

Happy Sunday!!
